Last Revised: 17 March 2023
This Privacy Notice describes the approach to the handling of private personal data in the delivery and management of services where Alpine Silver acts as the data controller. This notice does not apply to third-party services offered through Alpine Silver or linked through our website. Please review the privacy notice of any third-party service or website before using it. This notice applies to all individuals no matter their location.
About Alpine Silver
Alpine Silver is premium storage and associated motorcycle services company based in the UK and is required to act as a controller of your personal information in full compliance with current EU General Data Processing Regulations and associated UK laws. Based on our legitimate interest, we process your personal information with your consent to complete the requested services provided to you.
How is your data collected?
We collect the minimum personal data necessary mainly via our website (using various forms), data supplied in using our services (including verbally), financial interactions or other data provided for the continual management and delivery of our services to you. Through data analysis and publicly available lawful information, we may generate inferences and insights that may be linked to you. Information collected may include your name, address, email address, date of birth, vehicle ownership and vehicle details. We may also record, film and/or photograph clients for security or other business related services and marketing. Where applicable, marketing consent will be requested.
Cookies
Please see the dedicated Cookie Policy available on the site.
How is your data used?
We process personal information to enable us to provide motorcycle storage and associated services. This includes managing your account with us, processing purchase requests, providing products or services you have requested, providing ongoing client support, improving our services and ensuring your data remains secure. We will not collect any data from you that we do not need. We will only use personal data you have provided us for the purposes for which you provided it. We will not use it for any other purpose without your consent.
Marketing preferences
You can manage your marketing and advertising preferences, including whether you wish to receive customized marketing and advertising.
How is your data stored?
Every reasonable effort is made to ensure the information processed by Alpine Silver is safe and secure at all times. We may hold the information on our systems and in secure cloud services.
How is your data shared?
Your data is not shared with any third parties. Alpine Silver also does not provide any financial incentives for providing personal data to us. If we sell some or all of our assets or merge with a third-party we may transfer relevant PII to the buyer or new company. We may share your data to comply with law enforcement and other legal requests, protect our legal rights, prevent harm to us or others, and enforce our policies and contracts.
How long do you keep data?
We will generally keep your data for the minimum duration in order to complete the required services or communications with you. If we no longer need it, we may delete it or remove identifiers from it so it cannot be associated with you. It will be destroyed if it is by law enforcement or by you. If you consent to marketing, any information we use for this purpose will be kept with us until you notify us of any change to your preferences.
Your privacy rights
We acknowledge your important privacy rights, including:
You have a legal right to know what data we hold about you because, fundamentally, it is your data. If you want to know exactly what personal data Alpine Silver holds about you, you can ask by emailing Jason at jason@degermigney.com.
You have the right to request that your data is amended or deleted at any time. These requests must be in writing and may take us up to 30 days to respond. Whilst we will try to respond swiftly and in full, legislation also allows Alpine Silver to not provide complete responses to requests which would require ‘disproportionate effort’. We will endeavour to reply in good time.
You also have the responsibility for ensuring the data we hold is accurate. More information about your rights can be found on the Information Commissioner’s website at www.ico.org.uk
What if I want to make a complaint?
We hope to resolve any requests or concerns timeously. Any complaint if you are unhappy with the way we have acted or you have been treated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office in relation to the personal data we hold about you. We aim to respond to all questions or concerns within 30 days.
We promptly review requests to exercise privacy rights. If we need more information to process your request, we will contact you.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Notice periodically. A revised version will be posted at the same location as this or on another location on our website. If we change this policy, it will apply to personal data collected before the revision only to the extent as the new policy does not reduce the rights of affected data subjects.
